regardless if ford, or Chevy or panoz used it, it is still a lotus key.. that made me happy..

i figured as much, as it is the dullest and utilitarian key and fob i have ever seen

Funny that families don't like the Lotus.

My mother talked me into buying a sports car as my first car when I was 18. She was delighted when I bought my Elan after college. I lived on dirt bikes in high school and much of college. She wasn't thrilled when I bought my street bike, but she supported my choice. She actually bragged to people that I bought an Elise (and she never got to see it). The rest of my family always wanted to borrow my cars/bikes.

My favorite part about this thread is the fact that costcoconnection.com is the domain where my company sets up/runs/hosts the digital edition of the Costco magazine!!! Check out the features and tell me what you like/don't like.

Also, here's the direct link right to the page:

Finally, to address the issue under discussion - my family can't stand the Lotus. My kids think its stupid, and I'm spending their inheritance. Except the 2.5 year old, who likes to sit in it. My husband has finally come around, and isn't divorcing me. My mother and sister think I'm crazy, and I'll get sick of it and sell soon. My brothers think it's cool. My dad liked cars, and he passed away in 2005. I think he would have gotten a kick out of it.

My family likes mine. My dad was telling me this Thanksgiving how it reminds him of all of the fun he had in his little Fiero.

I bought my car w/o telling the 'rents. When they found out about it, they offered to pay off the loan for me

2005 Lotus Elise - ForcedFed 340, now at 15 psi and needing dyno for results.
2002 Ford Focus SVT - 4.6L V8 RWD conversion, twice the cylinders and half the sense.
