Z06 - I attended a press-only event at my office where they rolled out what they termed as a section of the game that is complete. They try to get a small section to take around to the media since there is about a 3-month lag time from when we cover something until it finally hits the magazine racks. I must admit that it was better than GT3, but a week later, Microsoft came by with a game that was still in progress and it blew me away! I even managed to get a demo disk of Laguna Seca!

But really, I think another thing that will put Forza on top is the level of online play they have. Sony made the mistake of making online play much more of a hassle. Xbox keeps it all pretty centralized for the gamer and they hace a list of Xbox Live rules that are 43 pages long so that it's all relatively seamless.

In the end, we're better off with the competition between the brands. It stimulates more innovation and better engineering. Imagine what things will be like in 10 years!!!

If you find yourself alone, riding in green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled; for you are in Elysium, and you're already dead!

Forza is getting some really good press. I'm stoked.

I'm no MS fanboy, but XBox Live sure makes it easy to power on, hop into a quick game, and be done with it. No dorking around with routers, servers, ping times... If they can do the same kind of thing with Forza, I'll be quite pleased.

I have been playing some Halo 2 online and it is pretty cool. I can't wait to play Forza online. My neighbor and friend is one of the developers.

One thing about online play. Microsoft kicked off 20,000 users the first week - people that had modified boxes. It still is a problem and gets frustrating playing against those that have modified boxes. They have the ability to create lag and move themselves when they are gettting shot. They know about the problem and are trying their best to keep up with the cheaters.

I'm uneducated in the ways of XBox hacking, but I would guess that you could "create lag" without modifying your box at all.

Just by dorking around my router or flooding it with other traffic, I can create lag at will. I don't know how you'd actually manipulate this fast enough to avoid getting shot in Halo2, since my stats will show I can't even turn around in time.

Damn I suck at that game. I play until I throw the headset in frustration at the kids laughing at me.

Basically you can push a button on your controller and it will make your guy suddenly move 2-4 feet to the left or right. The player moves suddenly on your screen so you are shooting at nothing but they have you in their sites the whole time. Its used again when they come up behind you so they disappear off your little radar then next thing you know they are right behind you.
