If I were looking for a project, I might pick up a superficially damaged Elise and pop on a V6 Exige from clam replica. It's pretty cool looking IMO.

However, I'm a big fan of the S1 as well, so I don't know which way I'd actually go.

Didn't know they were making those. Pretty slick. I would like to see it on an S2 in full context, though. Hopefully the S3 design revision looks good with the original S2 lines.

Thinking of K-swapping? Here's an idea of the cost involved.

I was talking with an engineering friend of mine yesterday and we both agreed that Lotus probably did an exceptional job of designing the rear of the S3 around what they had to work with. I think a lot of times we, as consumers, forget that without starting from a clean slate, design engineers rarely get the designs they want because the won't work over the mechanical bits. Even the original Elise design had many compromises because of mechanical engineering issues. I can't imagine what it would have been like for the design team with the mechanical guys coming in and saying "ok, we're going to stick an Evora rear on this car...so Go!"

The original S3 is at the top with the 4 tails, the newer one is at the bottom with just 2 and 2 smaller ones. PUKE

Looking Good!
