I have professionally tinted 2007 exige headlight covers but would like to swap for stock clear ones if anyone is interested

maybe i'm wrong here, but my understanding is that the 07 ones dont just come off like covers as the 05/06 ones do. I think they are sealed, and you'd have to break the seal/glue...I think. How were these tinted? Is it a film?

i'm pretty sure the '05s have to have their glue seams cut as well. There is a pretty cool procedure involving a bench vise holding a utility knife blade...in one of the "headlight buffing the cover/restoration" threads. You hold the headlight assembly in your hands and drag the headlight cover seam over the blade. Works very well i hear.

I know my '06 lenses were only held in with fasteners...no adhesive.

Your headlights are from a 2005-2006 Elise because they are not the sealed type.
You have the cover-type. The lids are not interchangeable from 2005-2006 to the 2007+ headlights.
