Hey Guys,
Was able to find the image scans online, hopefully we can keep these up. Perhaps we can find a reliable host for Elisetalkers. Originall taken from this thread:

Considering the kind of driving experience those journalists covet the most, it doesn't really surprise me. Good performance numbers aren't enough. If the car had more desirability to Europeans, providing both a more involving experience and a better image, then it would do better.

Their being underwhelmed by the 240R was also somewhat surprising. Perhaps the suspension needs more tuning, and perhaps being directly compared to the M400 made it seem a bit lackluster.

I don't think any of the praise that the Vette gets says it is a great driver's car. The praise is more like "best bang for the buck" and "fast"; the Vette's are those, but no "great driver's car". Having owned a C5 Z06, which is a better driver's car than a C6 (non Z06), I would say it was a very fun and a very fast car, but definitely the worst driver's car I've owned. But, it depends on what qualities you attach to "driver's car"; for me, the most important is how the car feels; Vette's tend to feel very numb... total opposite of an Elise.

I love tests in the rain.... sigh. I hate this car in the rain, its the dry where it shines, and that must be an issue when someone driving it for the first time says "The biggest problem I have with the Exige is that the wheelbase feels too short, which makes it hard to commit into a fast corner." Ive never heard anyone say anything like that before.

They had both dry and wet times for all cars. Exige was underwhelming and barely quicker than the stock Evo IX in the dry, but a whopping 4 seconds quicker in the wet! But the C6 Vette matched the 240R time in the wet to the tenth as did the Porsche for a three way tie for second behind the Ford GT. Noble was 4 seconds slower than the Lotus with a damp track.

After looking at the scoring numbers, it seems that the points assigned were more subjective and emotionally predetermined (Porsche). The track points for the Exige should have been higher, based on the numbers/results compared to the others......

from what I was reading about the 240R, they didn't know or were afraid to drive it faster. The guy was saying the wheelbase was too short. Where have you heard someone complain that the wheelbase of the elise/exige was too short? Nowhere. My guess is that this car can be driven faster, but because of psychological factors, they think they cannot push the car further.
