Lotus not taken seriously

An indication that Lotus is not taken seriously by the main stream media?
The new cool cars: Exclusive, sleek, efficient - CNN.com
With all these "cool" cars mentioned, there is not one reference to any of the many new Lotus models.

That's just one article. And written by just one person? The author might have been reporting just based on his own familiarity with certain "popular household names" and not necessarily on a true appreciation for finer driving machines.

Not surprising. If I want to know about cool cars I talk to roadracers, not read about them on CNN.

still it's kinda funny when a company launches 8 new cars (5 future models, a city car and two different models of a current one) at the same show

I guess cnn can't report on Lotus cars since they sponsor the F1 team

I guess it depends on where the media is...America or England. The good news is next week's Fifth Gear (the new season started 10/8) will showcase the cool cars from the Paris Motor Show and Lotus will be prominently featured among them.

The one CNN report I saw from Paris identified Lotus' 4-door model as the "Etendre."
