The Smoking Tire "One Take" of Elise

Matt Farah of the Smoking Tire drove my car for about ten minutes and did a "one take" video of his impressions. Thought he was pretty spot on in the review, except I didn't tell him about a lot of my mods until after he drove it. He definitely gets the spirit of the car despite the lack of creature comforts compared to the typical sports car.

I just watched that video and was going to post to see if the owner was on the forum; you sure do have some great roads out there.

How do you like that motorcycle around 11:05?

That's why if I can't wake up by 7 or 8am on the weekend, I don't go driving. The few cars and bikes I encounter in the early hours are controlled by more sensible drivers. Even really fast bikes will usually wait for me to let them by and I certainly do right away.

The last time I did ACH I left my house at 4:00am. I had the road to myself (mostly) and by the time I turned around and came back through the cops were just starting to set up speed traps.

That's dedication! I assume it was dark at that time.

I'll give you thirty, that's all they're worth. I saw it on YouTube.

Yes you should! He's done a wide range of cars in these one takes. A rare version of an already rare car would surely get his interest.

05 Elise, ST, sports, touring, hardtop, DBA 4000 slotted discs, Ferodo DS2500 pads, Sector 111 gpan3, EP Tuning Quickrack, Pro Alloy rad, DS brace, HnT pad, front and rear tow hooks, CG lock, ORE double cup holder (caffeine for track); '86 911 Targa (sold); '68 MGB (being restored)
