Removed Condenser - fans?

For those of you that have removed your factory AC, how do did you re-mount the fans to the radiator after removing them from the condenser?

I noticed that the brackets on the condenser are just glued.

Any help would be great.

I have not done it but I think most go to the top mount fans.

Pro-alloy top mount fan kit

Or just a new fan mount kit.

Cooling Fan Fitting kit (Elise, Exige, 340R, Europa, VX220)

OK thanks Ted. Upon closer inspection I should be able to quickly fab my own brackets to the Rad.

Yeah, what TedR said. I didn't remove my AC (and condenser) but did go to dual SPAL puller fans with the aftermarket radiator/Laminova setup.

So the dual fans that are currently on the condenser are puller fans, correct? My plan is to remove the dual fans from the condenser and bolt them the rad and put everything back together.

Thanks chaps.

Stock fans are "pushers" to my knowledge (as they're underneath).

Yes you're right San, just went back out to re-check again. Time to order some pullers.

I'll go ahead and order a set. Did you notice a drop in average temperatures? I was reading that some have noticed a drop of around 10f~.

Thanks again for your help!

I had the Laminova setup done to replace the stock oil coolers and an aftermarket single-pass radiator installed in addition to the dual pullers and lower thermostat. I did notice the AC was noticeably better but there were too many things changed to be able to single out the puller fans as a "hero/zero".

The P/N on the Ebay fan has VA-07-AP12/C/1-58A 12V where mine is actually VA-07-AP12/C-58A 12V. Not sure what the difference is. Rotation is the same.

I went with basic setup Oldmansan has.

Well not Laminova but Prorad 3 pass with puller fans. I think the final thing to do is pop in a lower rated thermostat (170F).

( prob not what you want to hear)

My stasis used to be 188F-192F now it is 173F-174F

I have to wait quite awhile before I get on the second cam, but well I worked hard to make it cooler... Now it is!

Yeh... I'll decide on which to go with during the next few days, I'm in hopes the temp will drop a little since the condenser is out now and swapping from push to pull.

Just wrapped up this thread (https://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f311...0/index12.html) some great info here for anyone else that decides to go down this path.

I'm planning to leave the t-Stat for now but may re-visit it next winter.

The Pullers just arrived, is there a place to source the correct connectors?
