AC knob on Elise has 4 position, but 3 work in weird order?

I figure it was not only me but I failed to fine any hits on this. So I have to ask..

My AC has 4 clicks. (left to right) 1,2,3,4
1 Off
2 low AC
3 no AC
4 full AC

What gives?

Solar Yellow 07 (225 whp)
Katana 2 SC
Sector 111 Pro rad radiator
Larini SE Exhaust and Lotus Euro Grills
alarm mod ( 80 feet )
all recalls complete.
upgraded front speakers to 5.25, back to 6.5 added a 12 inch sub
AikShii's Glove box.
Nexus gen 2 custom made radio Bessel.
Garw.co Dash.

That's how mine was before I lost all settings. The resistors are about to go out.

Fans speed is controlled through selecting different resistors. Sounds like one of the resistors blew out.
Older ones were susceptible to corrosion, and there are updated parts and a TSB to drill a hole so water can drain out and not cause damage.
It's cheap or expensive fix depending on severity, but nevertheless a clam-off job.
