Thanks Exigeus. I can see the C-channel in various pictures. I just cant seem to pick up my heater box without my blower moving identically. I tried banging on the heater blower to push it and the C-channel free. #$%&. Doesn't work. I'm loathe to use more force, but I think that's what is my next step. I swear, it feels like the heater core and blower are bolted together at the bottom...off for another try.

Sometimes the best tool is VIOLENCE. I yanked and yanked and the heater core final broke free. I also discovered that although I have no blower motor function, I have the updated resistor pack.
