Hey guys.
My HVAC control died. it's the third one i buy. is there a way to repair the panel without having to change it all?
a friend told me that the black square is a resistance, and that it can be changed. do you know how?

Arrow Is it even on?

I just upgraded my 2005 HVAC to the newest backlit unit. Even in complete darkness from the drivers seat you can barely see the left hot/cold knob light and the other 2 knob lights are pretty much useless.

Even the backlighting in general seems way more dim that the non-backlit unit I had before.

Can anyone confirm if the backlight HVAC panels are generally dimmer than the older style with non-backlit knobs?

may be an old post but my 2014 Evora does not light up either. it had all the options available so I don't know what the problem is. Lotus nashville did a complete check of the car before purchase so maybe they missed this.

Your problem is common with the Series 1 Evora's. The DRL jury-rig used has the marker lights on. so circuits think car is on night mode and thus dash light are dimmed; this was the reason I did the DRL by-pass, pulled the SAE pull and cutting the pink wire (although I didn't cut, I disabled the pin at the plug. The Evora section has write-ups with pic's. FYI, Lotus fixed this issued on the 400's and use a real DRL system.
