Are Lotus and Aston Martin talking together?

Lotus on Life Support: Could it Merge With Aston Martin?

The idea sounds good, but is it possible or true, or is it just another rumour?

The destination is irrelevant, when the journey is in a Lotus!

This doesn't even appear to rise to the level of a rumour, rather random speculation/day dreaming on the part of the author.

It would have been perfect. Am I right to say that most US dealers who sell Lotus usually sell AM anyway?

For that, I would think logistics wise (getting parts, cars and services) can be merged and "improved" for Lotus.

2009 Exige S260
2011 Evora [sold]
2005 Elise [sold]

i think the rumors come from the fact that all aston martins are built on Lotus engineered chassis, along with other work lotus has done for them. never the less... i think they are rumors - it makes no sense for anyone to buy lotus until they go insolvent...

"I really started paying attention to cars was when they came out with the Nissan Z, the first body. Then I seen the Cherokees, the old square ones, and I was like, “Wow, that’s cool.” Then I seen the Isuzu jeeps and I seen the Wranglers."
