And to toss in another variable, Fontana is pretty unique ... not many tracks with long straights to help those with more HP and weight and not to mention benefit of drafting. At Infineon, more HP would be far less of an advantage.

The only downside to this type of racing is that it does tend to induce a more desperate pass than I think one would normally consider in a standard race situation. But on the plus side it allows folks to "win" a race on talent and consistency and accuracy rather than who's got the fastest car/equipment.

It does make your bracket time choice critical and probably should not be shared with anyone. Release time also becomes critical so it might make sense to release cars in 3 rows rather than just one row, but I do feel sorry for whomever (aka Robbie) has to release the cars -- that's a hard job to do given how close some of the bracket times were.

on that note....

lets get a pot going for the bracket race!!
how about $20/head, winner takes 50%, 2nd takes 35% and 3rd takes 15%?

this is outside the series.... just between us racers.

"gambling is illegal at Bushwood....and I NEVER slice" sorry had to say it
