Houston or Dallas for service

I have an 05 elise I need to take in for the oil line recall and both Dallas and Houston is about the same drive for me. Anyone had the recall done at any of the shops. Just trying to find out who y'all recommend me taking mine to.
Thanks
Zach

The dealer in Dallas is Park Place Lotus/Jaguar. I haven't had any work done there though. Only the initial inspection after I bought my car. I get the impression they don't actually see to many Lotuses there (they didn't know how to start the car).

That being said, the mechanic seemed knowledgeable and the shop I bought my car from in California actually knew the guy by name. The shop in Cali only does Lotus so that might be worth something.

I plan to take my car in for the oil line recall eventually. If I do I will report back in the Texas regional forum.

I second Mister2's recommendation - my car is @ Dallas right now getting some things done.

Had my recall done as Lotus of Austin... the previous owner on my '05 had all his work done at Star Motor Cars in Houston.

I second your second. Have had my '05 in three times...once to fix my bodged attempt to program a new fob, second to replace a headlamp, and third to do the oil line and ECU recall.

In every case, they did the work properly, it was right the first time, and the tech was very knowledgeable about performance cars generally and the Elise specifically.

My main worry is that they could decide one day not to continue with Lotus. I'm actually thinking of an XKR for my wife, due in part to their service and efficiency.

I have already mentioned to them that once(if) the new Esprit becomes available... They WILL be taking my Evora in trade and I want the first one (that I can get my hands on).

If that doesn't happen and I need to go MP4-12C then so be it - I'll get it through Park Place as well.

Not been to Dallas but have used Houston.

They do a so so job but far from great. They seem a bit overwhelmed with work on Astons so always feel they are in a hurry hence maybe the less than great results but you do get a loaner for 5 days (unfortunately not an Aston!)
