Evora Weights

2013 Factory figures:
Base 6-sp NA Base: 1383 kg … 3049 lbs
Fully optioned 6-sp NA: 1431 kg … 3155 lbs
IPS NA: 1436 kg … 3166 lbs
6-sp S: 1437 kg … 3168 lbs
IPS S: 1442 kg … 3179 lbs

Thus:
Option Packs add ~ 106 lbs
IPS transmission adds ~ 11 lbs this includes additions do to oil Cooler
S adds ~ 13 lbs this includes additions due to SC and Oil Cooler and reductions due to flywheel
Most of S weight comes from the option packs not the supercharger itself.

My fully optioned S just scaled in at 3130 lbs with headers, cat replacement, CAI, w/oil (extra 2 qts, 3.2 lbs) and 10 gals fuel 5/8 tank (35 lbs under), OEM battery; full tank would give 3165 lbs or 3162 lbs with standard capacity oil pan. Figuring 5 lbs saved with headers & CAI & 1 lb with Oil Cooler mods puts it back to 3168 ~ orginal pre-mod weight (same as Lotus claim). So while it is a fat pig, at least Lotus gives honest weights. Final PWR: 8.1 lbs/Hp

My corner weights for 3130 case: LF 592, RF 625, LR 964, RR 949
--- Front ratio 38.9%, Rear ratio 61.1%, LF-RR ratio 49.2%, RF-LR ratio 50.8%
nintense likes this.

at some point I'll get my custom Varex valved one off to measure weight, but I'd guess about 25 pounds but that includes the decat pipe (1 piece) just for people's curiosity.

I'm surprised the SC adds so little. I had my elise corner weighed at one point, need to get the Evora done.

2016 AMG GT-S
2012 Caterham R400 (sold)
2010 Chrome Orange Evora (Sold )
2005 ST Elise (sold)
2002 MB G500 lifted etc.
2003 Cooper S (track)
we'll see what Lotus comes up with next...

The SC adds net little with the lightened flywheel, is all the other stuff that they typically come with that adds the weight.

Added some more weight info. Its time for me to install that Chimera battery sittting on my bench and get 25 lbs out from the LR. The Boeing 787 issue has given me the hebegebees; a fire back in the boot would get big before being noticed.

Estimate: 3105 lbs: LF 592, RF 628, LR 940, RR 945
--- Front ratio 39.3%, Rear ratio 60.7%, LF-RR ratio 49.5%, RF-LR ratio 50.5%

Then another 15lbs with a valved muffler solution ...

The chimera is lithium ion. I would look at shorai, cheaper, lighter, and lithium iron.

Welcome - Shorai LFX Batteries
I already posess the Chimera, they are both lithium iron based; Shorai is lighter due to smaller capacitty.

I think you missed the weight difference between the 2+0 and the 2+2.

I didnt miss anything, this is not all inclusive but is open for others to add weights. I don't have both versions to compare; but it is in the total options figure.
That said, I have taken out the foam seat before, it is only a few pounds while the +0 has two metal bars probably weighting about the same plus carpeting.

Note I just corrected PN's for MY12 NA and S Silencers listed above, I had numbers reversed.

Also while I don't have a weight on these, I note that the silencer can is about 6 inches shorter than the '11

Julian,
Note, your RF corner weight is heavier than your LF, while in the rear the LR is heavier than the RR. So, your car is diagonally heavy on the RF-LR. I suggest that you check your ride heights at each corner, and raise or lower one corner so that the weight distribution percentage of LF-RF is the same as LR-RR. I'm sure you know this from your track experience, but thought I would point it out for others.

Good points; although this was not enough of a rigorous weigh-in for any cross weight finalizing with weigh-in was with fluids but no driver, I should measure the ride heights to get a base line to go with these corner weights. Besides it may be too esoteric to consider cross balancing a for street car. While corner weights should be at 50/50 with a tolerance near zero this car is showing under 1%, where-as the acclaimed Honda S2000 is out over 3%.

I will be changing out battery, pulling some 25 lbs weight of LR but driver weight (me) probably loads that same diagonal the most, so more in wrong direction. As to jacking a car with stock suspension no easy task as it offers no official capability to adjust corner or adjust ARB links to take out any preload torque. Spring spacers could be put in the coils and or just add adjustable ARB links, which would be needed anyways, and tweak the preload (not kosher except to very fine tuning) to jack the load. Anyone more interested in the techniques should read “How to Make Your Car Handle” by Fred Puhn, plus review a few spread sheet examples posted on the net. Remember add corner height to increase weight/reduce to reduce and do things in small increments.

Plus, strange as it sounds, the 2+2 actually offers more room for cargo space than the 2+0 shelf.

I eliminated the entire cargo net, strap, and aluminum base strip in my 2+0, to increase the cargo space, and lost 6 pounds of the parts. The strap mounting tabs, on the left and right sides of the roll bar, can still be used to tie down cargo as necessary.
