Just thought of this. It may not be a big consideration since the hard core racer market is an even smaller subset of this target market. However, I believe the Lotus Challenge rules specify a maximum rim width of 7" on the front and 8" at the rear. Even if these end up lighter, the racers will probably want to hold onto their Cup car wheels . . .

Is it possible to fit Hoosier's 275/35/15 A6 in the back? It is the popular size for SM Miata's.....

Another vouch for the quality of the existing 949 product. I have owned two sets of 949 6UL's and have tracked both sets and seen some serious off's in my dedicated track/time trial car. NEVER had an issue with a 949 wheel being out of round! For a cast wheel I think they are one of the best out there!

Taking a look at the first post in this thread- "scheduled to be released towards the end of this year". Which like most I hadn't notice before. Also as of last week on the website:

Stuff we're working on..

6ULR

15x8 Lotus
16x8 Lotus
17x9 Lotus

So guess this is still in the works and till we hear otherwise, expect to see them in 6+ months.

Being second to market will probably cost a few customers unless most of us that have been eagerly waiting for lightweight and affordable wheels decide to purchase 2 sets. With the Sector111 wheels looking like they are just a few weeks away, it could get tough unless these are clearly worth the extra wait or the Sector wheels come up short.

Ok my bad, Emilio provided me the same info you did. Not rushing the development, just would like to see some news...but as I'm sure people have observed, I guess patience is a virtue I don't fully possess all the time Like LarryB, I missed that part of the first post

Guess theres nothing to report if nothing new has developed. Maybe some photoshops would whet the appetite at least...! Any PS gurus?

....Right?! It seems like S111 is closer to delivery, yet they're intentionally dragging it along to give 949 some more time .

TBH, I like the 6UL design more than the "5zigen" design S111 is coming out with...but depending on weight/price specs, I may or may not wait on 949

late to the party but.... i'd love a world where all of these 6UL/6ULR sizes existed in 4x100/56.5 with the correct offsets (too tired to do the math):

15x8 / 17x9 paired with 225/245 A6's (without flaring/cutting fenders)
15x10 / 17x10 paired with 275 A6's square (fenders be damned)

he would seem to be the only one with a 15x8 planned which might allow people to run 15's all around, and/or be good for 225's on front. Did he post he was planning these sizes here?... if not one thing he can't be accused of is over-hyping. I don't think there's all that many choices for street rubber for a 15x8 on the back, but seems to be track tires are available for it... and if it's a track wheelset, then seemingly front and rear rims wouldn't need to be the same make/model (aesthetic concerns not being so important i would think).

2006 Aspen White Elise. LSS, LSD, Traction control, LS Toe Link Brace, LS Ohlins DA, Rota 15/16's, BOE surge tanks and Sector 111 Gpan2, Red leather, JL speakers all around with Acapulco MP54, CF dash top, gas shock opening rear deck, multi-vex mirros and replaced rear-view mirror with kit off this forum.

I'd imagine that it will be this Q4 or Q1 2012 before the 949 wheels hit... when they do, I'll probably have 8 of the first batch
