A couple of years ago I co-wrote a book related to Curb Your Enthusiasm
. It was pretty good (said with complete BIAS, of course) and was/is on Amazon and at Barnes-Noble, and even made it to Walmart. Truthfully---Anyone can write a book. Yes, ANYONE. Perhaps not a good book, and editing is a huge part, but the genuine hard part is selling it –way more work than writing it. Me and my co-author hustled it and pursued (ahem, stalked?) the right people and eventually got noticed. Which brings me to the SELF promotion part:
Curb Your Enthusiasm
is airing the final episode of Season 9 tomorrow (Sunday) night on HBO and I and my co-author make an on-camera appearance
in the restaurant scene ---we’re sitting at a table across/behind Larry, Suzy, Jeff & a 4th (placeholder) and I get up and walk past them and then back to my table (you’d notice the spectacular blonde in the yellow dress at my table long before you’d ever notice me
For those of you that follow the series, yes, I know how the season ends. NO, I’m not spoiling it. I will say that it wasn’t totally satisfying…but then I have a bias. And while no one knows, I (purely for selfish reasons), do hope for a Season 10----my co-author and I hadn’t been sitting on our tails in the 3 years since releasing Volume 1 of our book ---Volume 2 went into circulation on the same day as the Season 9 debut and is honestly better written and more entertaining than Vol 1. And for good measure, the third installment (a movie version-treatment of Curb) went live about 4 weeks ago.
Vol 1 might even be in your local library, but V2 and THE Movie haven’t reached wide circulation as yet.
