RIP John Haynes

The founder and first author of Haynes Publishing (Haynes Workshop manuals) has died.

I'll be having a wee dram in his memory tonight - wouldn't have been able to maintain a Fiat habit for decades without his excellent manuals.

Their older written-in-UK by people who really worked on the car manuals were things of wonder, and vastly better than the factory shop manual, especially if the FSM was translated out of another language (as with Fiats).

I still have the orange book for the 500, the purple book for the X 1/9, and a couple of others on the shelf.
