That hurts just to look at it! I am envious. After the wreck I know that will never be an option for me. Heck, I'm still learning how to walk again. But thanks for the chuckles and the great photo shots!

You are most welcome for the shots. I'm glad to hear that I have a fan.

Most people are surprised that I can do this leg trick at my age, but actually I only started doing this trick after I turned 50.

Sort of like Sir Henry Pellat who built Casa Loma only after he was past 50 or Ray Kroc who founded McDonalds only after he was past 50.

Tobermory, Ontario

Our family spent the long weekend up in Tobermory, Ontario. The area is known for its shallow and crystal clear waters.

We took a cruise in a glass-bottomed boat to see some ship wrecks and later went hiking in one of the area's scenic parks.

Manitoulin Island

The first shot is a nice view of the Tobermory harbour.

The highlight of my weekend was seeing a jack rabbit stuck in the grille of a truck. The driver hadn't even noticed the rabbit until a pedestrian stopped her to point it out. Imagine what that would have done to an Elise?!

We also took a ferry to Manitoulin Island. The ferry holds about 150 cars and 600 people.

At a horse-back riding camp on the island I found an original World War II jeep. The owner says that it was one of the few jeeps of that era that had power steering.

The leg picture on the ship was taken during the voyage. It was a bit harder than normal to keep my balance due to the gentle sway.

Nice photos. Good to see the leg trick is still going strong.

For the glass-bottom boat shots, I was half expecting to see someone on the boat looking through the glass bottom to find you doing your leg trick under water!

Little Kid: "I see a ship wreck and... Hey, Mommy! Look! There's a man! What's he doing?"

I do have a photo of my leg trick performed in a pool while 80% under water. However it wasn't very flattering. Maybe after I've done a few months of Zumba workouts I'll try it again.

2003 Dodge Viper

I rented a 2003 Dodge Viper last week. I had a lot of fun. The muffler pipes run along the bottom of the doors so the car gets extremely hot inside even on a mild day.

The picture of the Lambo was taken at the rental car company.

The Viper has an 8.3 L, V10 but some of that power is "lost" since the car is nearly 4000 pounds.

Indianapolis - part 1

So I drove from Toronto to Indy to visit some friends and to see a Norah Jones concert.

The first 2 photos were taken in Watersville which is a few hours north of Indy.

The next photo shows some of the nice farm scenery near Indy.

Next, I visited one of my friends for lunch. As you can see his son looks like a promising an up-and-coming leg star.

Indianapolis part 2

The Norah Jones concert was at the Murat Theatre in downtown Indy. I brought my Canadian flag to the concert for that inevitable moment when they ask, "Who is from out of town?".

That moment never happened.

Nor was there any autograph session after the concert.

Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the concert.

Indianapolis part 3

Here are a few more pictures.

The first was taken at my other friend's house. He was the one that joined me for the concert.

The next shows a nice statue in the downtown area.

The final picture was taken back home in Canada at Niagara Falls.

You really needed a pic of you "legging" at the concert... this could become the new "planking" phenomenon.

Believe me, if I had been invited up on stage I would have done my leg trick.

After giving Norah a hug and a kiss.

Portugal Part 1

In July of this year I was in Portugal visiting my wife's family. I'd like to share my latest set of photos. The theme is "leg trick" and unusual cars.

1) A lemon tree at my wife's uncle's house
2) Costa Nova beach area
3) Believe it or not, I saw two people drive away in that 3-wheeled "thing"
4) A corn field
5) A castle near Lisbon

Portugal Part 4

While we were travelling in Portugal we noticed a very nice sports car. It was quite low to the ground and at first I thought it was a Ferrari. We pulled up closer to see the brand and it was a Lotus! I'm not sure of the model nor the year but I was quite excited about it. The photo is not the best since we were moving and our windshield was dirty.

If you have followed this thread for a while, you have probably seen the picture of me on a single bale of hay in Canada. Well as luck would have it, I found more hay in Portugal. Just beside my father-in-law's farm I discovered some bales piled two high.

1) A vintage Lotus
2) The haystack - preparing
3) The haystack - leg behind the head
4) The haystack - leg + arm extended
5) Alas, I found an even higher haystack

About a week after my success on the double haystack I found a triple decker version. I really wanted to give it a shot. However it was right beside someone's house and I didn't know them. Maybe next year I'll ask them about it.
