I give it to you, legging it on the wall over a precipice like that... one little imbalance and man... it's a long ride.

Gravenhurst, Ontario

We were on a car cruise this past Saturday. On the way home we discovered this massive Muskoka chair in Gravenhurst, Ontario.

Since it had just rained, there we no other tourists around. So I decided to try my leg trick.

When I was up on top I kept thinking that if a cop were to appear, I'd be in trouble. My concentration was not the best. I tried a few times and couldn't quite manage it. Oh well -- next time!

Golfing

I participated in the company golf tournament yesterday. I haven't golfed in 30 years so I was a bit rusty.

Here is a nice picture of me teeing off.

I couldn't really tee off like that but surprisingly I could putt that way.

A bit OT here but, David---that "thing" you do--what's the back story? What compel a person to pull their leg over their head any time a camera is around! Lol

Squidward,

I've always been able to put my leg behind my head. A few years ago at a beach a friend jokingly asked if I could do that while standing. I took the dare and found out that I could.

Now it has become a crowd pleaser, especially after I've had some beer.

My standard line is that it is free to see my trick or $5 not to see it.

Now that I've mastered my trick I like to combine it with travel photos.

I'm always happy to see this thread raise it's head... Or is it- raise it's leg over it's head? Anyway, Im pleased to see that you are still seeking opportunities to not only share the ability with others but that you are documenting it with photos. Im especially thrilled to see that you are bringing the trick to work functions! What an awesome way to liven up a boring and otherwise traditional corporate golf tournament. Go break a leg! (well maybe not)...

Also, just curious... Are you wearing a Winnie the Pooh watch at the golf tournament? I just noticed the watch but can't make out any details?

Yes I wear a Winnie the Pooh watch. When my daughter was about 2 years old I noticed a daughter + Dad set of Winnie the Pooh watches. I was about to buy both and then decided that she'd probably break hers.

A year later when I went back to the store they didn't sell the kid version any more.

Last year I finally bought her the Winnie the Pooh watch on the internet. She is in her teens now.

Algonquin Highlands, Ontario

Our family rented a cottage in the Algonquin Highlands for the Thanksgiving weekend. We went there to enjoy the fall colours.

One of my work buddies recently bought a cottage in the area so we dropped by to check it out. Here I am in front of my friend's cottage.

Junkyard

It was a sad day on Saturday. I drove our 1986 Tercel to the junkyard. The suspension was getting dicey and it had been leaking lots of fluids. It was time.

This was my wife's first car. Little did we know back in 1986 when we laid down $9000 for a brand new car that it would be driving itself to its own funeral in 2012 with the following stats:

- Went for 26 years
- Logged 322,493 km
- Original engine, transmission and clutch
- Never broke down while driving
- Didn't even get a flat tire

We'll miss her!

I kept the steering wheel. I had transferred it to the Tercel seven years ago when I junked my 1984 Toyota Corolla (21 years, 413,000 km also original engine, transmission and clutch).

Haha... I was going to say after seeing the first pic that you needed to do the foot thing and you delivered in the second pic. You should have done it on top of the roof of the Tercel though. That would have been the crowning moment.

I'd hate to be over the top.

Actually that would have been a great idea.

Sorry for your loss. But let us hope we see that kind of mileage in ALL cars where a Toyota engine is used.

Halloween

First photo - last night I discovered a masked intruder in my house.

Second photo - I pulled off his mask as he ran from the house but I couldn't determine who he was.

Third photo - later he showed up at my work.

Fall Maintainence

Every fall I need to go up on our roof to remove the leaves from our eavesthroughs.

This year I had my daughter snap a few shots.

The grade on the upper roof is about the same as the grade on the garage.
