I've seen a pro driver get sick as a passenger, so I don't think that is a fair statement to make at all. Being a passenger can throw off the inner ear really bad

That's understandable. Sorry, I guess I'm just biased. After the report about him filling up his car with diesel and the recent issue where he threatened to quit, I just don't have high hopes anymore. Plus I've seen some of the videos they've been releasing on the site and they just don't excite like they used to, imo.

Chris Evans is like marmite....either like or hate him...much like Clarkson -- so it may work. Has to be better than the US or Aus version. Hope they find their own formula instead of rehashing the same old.

I have nothing against him really. Just concerned that they're rushing decisions on it. Seems to be a very rocky start so far. I honestly do hope they can keep it going and make it entertaining. I'll continue to buy the magazine, and another good show would just be icing on top.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't more excited for the trio on Amazon with the budget they've been given though.

Would it excite you to know that BBC Top Gear just hired Matt Leblanc to work with Chris Evans?

I too am waiting for the CHM show on Amazon.

I think Eddie Jordan is supposed to sign on, too?

Imagine the pressure of living up to old top gear... and both new shows have this problem.

TBH I was actually surprised they hired an American to join them. He's been on the show a bit in the past and seemed to really enjoy it. If anything, it shows that they are trying to change things from old TG. Only have 3 more months until we're supposed to find out.

I heard this too. F1 experience would be interesting. I was hoping Sabine would join too, but it doesn't look like that's happening.

The USA was Top Gear's biggest and most important export market so I'm sure there was some thinking going on at the BBC that by having Matt LeBlanc on the show it would make it more appealing to Americans. We shall see.

Seems to me that having so many presenters will be a very different dynamic. Maybe that's what they need to do, as trying to replace/compete with the comraderie of Clarkson, Hammond, and May was likely to be challenging. More car programming is a good thing, so hopefully it'all be something new and great.

That's how it all began. I remember watching Quentin, Vickie etc - used to be more of an informative car show covering a larger audience rather than just the super rich.

Let's see what happens.

Things like this are apparently going to happen if one lives long enough.

But for sure, at least the first episode will be very widely watched.

I never Photoshop - but can't speak on behalf of the BBC.

I assume that the co-hosts will rotate, i.e. not all be on each week.

But, I'm guessing.
