I'm sorry the pix are so big. If you dial them down, you can get a better sense of the size in relation to the rest of the dash. It's much less obtrusive in real life (I think the same it true for SwingLo's pix; they're all close-ups so you can see the detail and workmanship). It's definitely shinier than the dash plastic, and I could have used a matte finish, as opposed to satin (and definitely not gloss!), but as I said, I have plans to cover all the dash pieces in the same leather used in the rest of the car. The color and gloss level are quite close to the door teardrops (I have the purist, so only the teardrops are black leather), shift gaiter, etc. I would also say that the flash from the camera makes it look shinier than it is in daylight. The more you live with it, the more you get used to its shape, too.
