Loose Side View Mirror

I tried the search and did not find this topic. My passenger side outside rear view mirror is loose. I removed the little round piece of tape that covers up the hole on the outside bracket but I cannot tell if that is where I need to tighten since the hole cannot be viewed directly because of the design of the bracket. Is this where I need to be looking? If so, what type of fastener is in that hole? Flat head screw, phillips head screw, etc. and what size. I've tried everything I have and cannot get anything to bite. Thanks.

looks like it's a torx of undetermined size. hopefully you didn't dig too hard with the screwdrivers.

Don't forget the other mounting bolts (all torx as well) beside the one you can easily see - there are two more under the weather stripping, covered by similar round tape spots.

I just replaced my driver's side mirror, and I had three total on an '05.

Just in case anyone is looking for the "loose mirror bolt size" 11 years later, like I was, it's a T-20!
