Can't wait to see the finished hatch. Want one! Although I do wonder if the venting of engine bay heat is sufficient for track use......

Finally got our first hard sample of the insert. A couple of spots need to be tweaked before everything is finalized to produce.

I love everything about the hatch except the stupid slots they cut out down the middle, why do they ruin such a piece of art?

My guess is for some level of venting. I actually think it looks nice.

How's the heat in the bay with no enough venting?

Will the heat kill the polycarbonate?

actually there should be more venting slots. Doesn't look like much to begin with.

** save ~10 lbs gain 1 hp ** EQ: Y=(190*X) / (1984-X) where Y is (HP) and X is (lbs)

Well they do use these engines in the Celica where the hood traps the heat in so I don't think it matters.

I wouldn't expect the Celica to have an under-tray that limits air flow.

My car was rear ended and i'm pretty sure i'll need a new hatch and if so this would be high on my radar to add. Hopefully it'll be done soon
