Just curious... Why the design change on the cutouts flanking the sides of the glass? On the MT version, they are angled at 45 degrees whereas this current iteration is oriented horizontally....

Thinking of K-swapping? Here's an idea of the cost involved.

Really liking the side venting design layout though

Strictly speaking, yes, the hatch becomes a little less rigid. Not that one could tell the difference in their hands because it is such a hefty piece. But, since the hatch does't actually tie points of the vehicle together you can get floppy like the elise engine lid.

Would there still be slots in the center area for those of us with intercoolers that really need that venting? I always wondered why no one ever made a post-intercooler duct that routed all the superheated air coming through the IC back out the hatch. It would also have the side benefit of being somewhat of a heat shield keeping radiant engine heat from the IC (something which some vendors did make).

Highline, do you think you'd be interested in making some scoops like these as well?

Inspiration from the straighter styles of the f430 and audi r8.

Vents can be added as a custom order and can be discussed prior to ordering.

I don't see any attached image... We already finished a prototype sideskirt and am currently running a prototype Ti exhaust. We have quite a few things churning together at the moment.

The Reverie carbon rear hatch (Bodyshop Kobayashi design) has just such a system. The box section goes from the back of the intercooler directly out of the engine bay.

San, you just made me want that hatch even more. My first question was if it fit the RLS intercooler, and the alien head tells me yes. These are the hatches that S111 still sells on their website?
Need to find a second job to pay for that.

The price went up ridiculous on sector's site. they were 2500, now 3750 or some crazy price.

Does not fit the RLS intercooler. I went thru this with Shinoo couple of years ago when he had one on sale. You would need to do some custom cutting and he thought it would be messy and possibly ruin the hatch. I bought a "standard" CF hatch. Happy with that as it is substantially lighter then OEM (and cheaper).

San's seems to fit, and doesn't look all cut up... hmm.

It needs a bit of trimming to fit the RLS intercooler.

I doubt you can purchase this hatch. Shinoo says this hatch may never be available again. The last time I saw him he wanted to do some flow testing on my hatch.

Wrong. Shinoo has seen mine with the RLS intercooler. Not only does it fit, it is lighter than any other Exige hatch I know of.

The part is practically done. Just tapping inserts on the test piece and then will have to fit on a car to see if it sits right before making a master mold.
