Please, just as a side note. Look at the favorite pics and see the angle that the car was photographed.

BTW, thanks for the updated pics because I have been feverishly looking at this thread for any new images. How'd you like that flippy floppy?
yea,i dont know what happened to that first pic.i looks good on my computer.then when its uploaded it looks like that.

witch favorite pics are you talking about?witch angle would you like to see?in the shop i cant get very good angles of the car.i cant get far enough away from it.i will be taking better pics possibly tomorrow.we are expecting rain so that figures.ill see if i can get some taken in the morning before the rain hits.pecivil will be installing his pretty soon so he might have some good pics to post as well.

whats the flippy floppy?

here are some new pics i took today.the light was not good.high clouds with filtered light.i was having a hard time capturing the detail of the splitter.i guess it doesnt help that its painted semi gloss black.i could also use a new camera.the one im using is an olympus fe170.its about 5 years old now.so i guess i will need to step up and get something new.
i parked the car on a loading ramp.i have been trying to get this done.but for other reasons.i couldnt get to it.well with the splitter re installed.i thought today was the day.these pics show how flush everything fits.all hardware is flush using aircraft countersunk washers.in these pics you can also see the a arm panels installed.

of course i had to take the car for a rip down my usual test road.im simply amazed at how well the splitter works.

That looks fantastic, even left in contrasting black. The way you swept the sides of the splitter into the wheel arches is excellent.

Will those plates behind the main splitter body be included as well?

thanks, the paint used is fine for a topcoat.its used for a semi gloss paint on several oem parts that i have seen.i think the side looks good.i had to add some curvature to it so it didnt look so square for the side.

yes, those are the a arm covers.they are part of the kit.

the front wheels stick out from the side by about a 1/2 inch.so i dont think the wider stance viewed from the front over powers the front wheels.

Kevin - any idea if the $900 and $750 (CF / E-glass) prices will be what you expect for long-term production?

the prices will be going up.im still seeing how much time i can shave off as i go.this will effect how much of an increase there will be.i have a pretty good idea on the eglass ones.i need to build a few in carbon to get a better idea on those.at some point i may hand them off to a large composites shop for the layups.then i would just do all the fab work on them.this way i could get more out quicker.i need to build about 10 first though.being i have thousands of dollars in materials to use up.i dont know if its going to be cost effective to hand them off,but its worth a try.

B E A UTIFUL piece of craftsmanship! To the point that I remembered reading this thread months back when I was shopping for an Elise. Proud new owner of an 06 Elise and setting money back for the mods... This one will be a priority!!! As you guys that have preordered get them on PLEAAAZZZZ post some pics! I'm torn between the custom look of the CF or going all exterior mods painted to match to give a "factory" appearance! Would LUV to see how each option looks!

thanks guys, the black looks far better than i thought it would.i just shot it black so it looked better in the install directions.then if someone wanted to buy this one down the road.it would be finished and ready to go.the semi gloss finish of this paint matches the rest of the black on the car really well.

i had also thought about shooting it body color, but i didnt know if i would be sticking with this splitter or not.so i didnt want to waste the paint i have.i will most likely have a carbon one.then add a bit of body color to it for the carbon body color combo.
