Is the price just the console or does it actually replace the shifter assembly as well? Ie. can you just by the console and directly retrofit it into an S2 Elise/Exige? If so, that's not a bad price at all!

This is the replacement console (cover) but it has no mechanicals. It replaces #1 and #16 with all the trim and boots as shown in the diagram below with the newer design from the Sport Elise and Exige As shown in the second picture.

Thanks, so you don't need to replace any mechanical components for the console to fit? Does it have holes for the hazard, door lock and traction control buttons? All I really want to know is if you have actually tried retro fitting in a Elise/Exige before? If so and it works, then sign me up!

Ok, so I finally got around to working on this. Photos to come later.

Door Cards:
Not a direct fit. The window switch surround is different and I think the mounting points are a bit different. Still working through that.

Center Console:
This is three pieces, the ebrake cover, the bottom shifter cover and the top shifter cover.
The ebrake cover fits perfect, but it sits high which prevents the back piece with the cigarette lighter from sitting in the correct spot

The bottom shifter cover is a bit of a disaster right now. It is cut out for the main loom to pass through the middle of the unit, but on the 05, it passes to the right side. Easy modification. The harder part is that the box around the shift mechanism prevents the piece from sitting flush on the ground (photos to follow soon)

The top shifter cover looks great, but the door lock switch connector does not match OEM. Also, I still need to source a hazard light switch, as the 05 one will not fit.

Still working on getting this all together, but I may have to switch up to one of the fancy InoKinetic shifters just to get the center console to sit flush.
