Makes it look cheap and odd. If your going to wrap it do the car completely and have a clean elegant look.

I think I've decided not to do it.

Sorry guys, but all of these two tone/vinyl things just look really ricer to me.

Sorry if that offends, but that's just my opinion.

-1 To each his own, I guess.

For me, it looks badass. But I think it needs more. I woudn't have stopped there. To match the rear spoiler, I would have gone ahead wrap the hood also. Totally fast and furious!

BTW, I would never describe an Elise as having a clean elegant look. The body work is an outrageous design and I think this car was made for adding graphics, vinyl, etc. It's a race car, and should look the part.. The way it comes is like a plain Jane blank canvas, IMO.

Sitting next to a bunch of Lotuses, this sets it apart. Different and very hot.

@Andy-- Hey, I noticed one spot on the inside rear pillar got kinda fudged up. What happened? Perhaps the installers didn't use 3M adhesive primer on this install, so I'd be worried how long it will last in this climate. 3M Primer is critical if you want your wrap to last.

I agree with this. You can do just about anything to this car and I think it will look "correct", short of really obnoxious color contrasts.

That's why I love my personalized "referee" edition. Black/White two tone all the way through really pops even in the company of fellow Lotuses.

Agreed. I mean you could put a big wing on the back of the lotus which doesn't have a top speed that would ever need a big wing of put larger side scoops or add graphics to it then invite Vin Diesel over to race a Ferrari. The car looks great from the factory or just buy an exige.

Vin Diesel's voice is not as sexy as the twin sisters from Simpson's.

LOL! It took me a long time to like Vin Diesel. But now he's like one of my favorite actors... He needs to do more...

I remember when he was a no-name guy who appeared in a print ad for a watch company... forgot which watch brand it was... but it said VIN DIESEL, ACTOR, and I was like... who the ****?

Then he blew up big time. Good for him.

I'm cool with and appreciate the difference in opinions, it's a matter of personal taste and style - ricey look or not. I'm just experimenting a more stealth look and subdue the redness. Besides, its easily reversible. As for the wing and aeros, they are made for Lotus and very functional on the tracks, especially on the big oval at the Fontana Speedway. It does look better in person, at least to me. (Sorry for hijacking the thread OP!)

I couldn't disagree more. The Elise/Exige are very elegant to my eye.

I think as long as you like it, then it's good enough.

Absolutely beautiful and elegant in that silver metallic color - my solid ardent red color wouldn't look as nice unmodded IMHO.

Graham, thanks, the black soft top would be OK also but not as sleek looking. Here are the different angles.
