I have ordered a few parts from BRG/LG and unless the parts are coming from the UK, I received them within a few days. When they are getting shipped from the UK, it has taken a few week - first for Lotus to process and package the order and then several days shipping and time to pass through customs.

I've also exchanged a few emails with Robert and he's always been helpful and replied within in a day or two (I think once he was on holiday and it took a little longer than usual). Overall I've had positive experiences ordering from BRG/LG.

Yeah, parts coming from the UK have usually taken 2-3 weeks when I ordered. It would be nice if they shipped a little faster, but I can't really complain since they charge 20-50% less than my local dealer. Overall I really have no complaints and from what I've heard Robert is always responsive and helpful.

I wouldn't worry as they are a reputable company and Robert is a stand up person. Unfortunately they are at the mercy of Lotus so those excuses are true. It used to be a lot worse when Lotus didn't have any money.

As mentioned above parts direct from Lotus take time depending on availability. I've received parts within days and other times it's taken months. I'm guessing that since it's a diagnostic tool it's not something that's readily available - ie a special order so will take time to come from Lotus.

+1 for BRG/LG, Robert has always been responsive and helpful and always works to ensure I get what I need. Getting parts from the U.K. can be a pain, but BRG/LG is reputable and legitimate.

I've ordered from Lotus Garage a couple of times in the past 6 months, and it's been alright. Robert's always responded back to my emails in a timely manner. Like others have mentioned, it's just that Lotus and their suppliers are a little slow and also ship from the UK/GB.

Here's my advice when needing and ordering Lotus parts.. call first. I've had a lot of parts come back "NLA" and it shows being available and pay here on the website.

I just ordered my center hard top bracket/clamp from these guys and it was a painless transaction as they had it in stock!..

Getting lotus parts is the worse part of owning these cars..

Thanks for the support guys. We try to do our best with the inventory we have and Lotus has available.

The initial poster was told of delays in availability of the item and was provided a revised delivery date in a few weeks. This particular item is the same tool used by the dealers and new appointments meant that the stock which would normally be available had been redirected for the new franchises.

As the previous poster mentioned, it's never a bad idea to contact us in advance if there's a concern regarding availability. Typically we can get things shipped in about 2-3 business days from order if we don't have it in stock. Occasionally, things like trim and the alike can take several weeks. If time is a concern on any order, we can often apply expedited service on shipments. We will always be open to doing whatever we can to help. That said, we can only do what is humanly possible. Lotus simply doesn't keep stock the way larger manufacturers do.

As an aside, we also have that centre hardtop clamp kit in stock

I have no affiliation to this business, however here are my comments.
Robert is an honest and "straight up" guy.
Lotus parts are not readily available like larger manufacturers, they have to be imported with the implied delays.

I have also had issues with timeliness from BRG. I have numerous emails from Robert blaming issues with the German parts supplier. I have spent almost $13k with BRG for a stage 3 upgrade and exhaust and have nothing to show for it more than 3 months later.

as of today March 14 2019 I am waiting on a small emblem order for almost 2 months. I understand delays but after an email and several phone calls where I leave messages I have received 0 communications. I am patient but some communication would be nice

Arrow SJ Sports Cars

Last week I placed my 1st order with SJ Sports Cars

www.sjsportscars.com

I was shocked to have 3 different OEM Lotus parts in hand in less than a week. They are based in the UK, so much closer to the source, shipping was fast and well priced. Assuming I dont see any additional Toll charges appear. They shipped via DHL.
