2005 Lotus Elise - Nightfall Blue, VF2 SC -- Nor Cal (Sausalito)

2005 Lotus Elise
I purchased this car a few years ago and have driven it very little due to various issues (work, too many toys, and all of that), it now has 68k on the clock. The original engine lost an oil line within the first month of owning it, so I bought a new engine (has maybe 4k on it now) and subsequently made a few mods while putting it all back together. All of the engine/transmission upgrades were done at the same time as the engine by a top notch shop in Napa...you know, while you are there and have $$$$$$ to burn, might as well do some mods! Clean title and registration just renewed for 12 months. $27k obo. Motivated to sell!

Pics here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/8SjZAGHG9MMs8YxL9

The car is bone stock except for:
Vision Function Stage 2 Supercharger (an example of this SC here:
)
Limited slip differential installed and gearbox went through
Taller 6th gear installed for low RPMs while cruising (gas and noise saving)
Ohlins double adjustable suspension all around
HDSS heavy duty clutch and light flywheel
Heavy duty rear motor mount
BOE remote oil cooler (https://www.boefab.com/collections/e...ler-rear-mount)
BOE clam hinge
Larine 8” side exit exhaust
Baffled aluminum oil pan
Difflow diffuser with quick release connectors (https://difflow.com/product/5-elemen...unded-corners/ )
Upgraded aluminum radiator
Volk Racing wheels
Stainless brake lines
Nice front tow hook mounted front license plate bracket (not shown in pics)
Mesh grills in front
Battery relocated to bulkhead behind passenger seat with odyssey pc625 battery
Master kill switch installed with easy charging cable adapters (and jumper)
Sector 111 harness bar
Schroth harness belts with professionally installed harness holes in seats
Removable Momo steering wheel (the removable mechanism is an official lotus part)
Upgraded radio
Blackwatch Racing cup holder (magnets driver/passenger) https://www.blackwatchracing.com/product-p/1019.htm

New paint (Nightfall blue), but does have flaws listed below
Seams removed from body work on front
Front indicators shaved (indicators are now in headlights)
Carbon fiber front splitter
Carbon fiber lower aero sills $$
Carbon fiber (Magic Racing) mirrors
Leather wrapped tunnel
Aluminum Tow hook
Sector 111 boot bag
Sector 111 latching boot hinge
Fire extinguisher and bracket in the passenger seat
Heavy shift ball
...and I am sure a whole bunch of other little things that I am forgetting

This car is very fast and has all of the best bits! Some minor problems:

The paint did crack on the rear clam by the end of the engine hatch (maybe due to using the clam hinge too soon after paint) and has a tiny crack above the left tail light (which is the paint, again probably from clam hinge). Also, the front left shaved indicator has paint problems due to shrinkage (which normally happens). All of is very fixable. Finally, there are a few scratches to the front where someone placed a cardboard box on the front (certainly can be polished out, I just don’t have the time). So mechanically it is OK and with a little love can be good all around for someone who wants one of the faster (and prettier with a bit of cosmetic work) Elise’s about or is looking for an awesome track car. Sadly I never had a chance to track it like I did with my Caterham which is truly a crime on my part .

Other issues:
A/C never worked
Dash connector needs to be resoldered (intermittent speed readout) as commonly happens
Front splitter is just there to protect car (it was really expensive, now it is pretty beat up)
Minor cosmetic stuff all around, but nothing that cannot be addressed
Headlights can use a polish
Missing one hub cap
Missing a bit on full throttle, think I need to tighten the SC piping.

2005 Elise, Graphite Grey (soon to be nightfall blue), Ohlins DA, VF2 SC, Volk wheels, LSD, and pretty much everything else on this lemon.

Beautiful car!! Saw this car in person about a year ago and was inspired to do my front clam just like his.

Pm'd.

Would you happen to have a matching hard top?

On a side note, I just moved to Santa Rosa. What shop did you use in Napa?

Hi Indifferent. Old post, but was wondering if this Lotus was still for sale? Shopping and you're local. I'm in the bay area and pass through Marin everyday.

Let me know if it's still for sale and we can get the ball rolling.
