There is no bad news here! If Hayes says it's good than it"s good! Seriously his vehicles are better than anything you will find out there and he is honest! a trait not commonly seen today. If you doubt his integrity you are ignorant and a fool.

tommyc, a rebuilt title is better than anything you will find out there? Really? Integrity would have been to state 2006 Elise with a rebuilt title. Again saves everyone time.

An 06 Elise for less than $26,000? You have to ask yourself, what is wrong with the car? Hayes is always very clear in his ads if it is clean or branded title.

Hayes is well known for repairing and selling rebuilt title Lotus cars. He has a great reputation and I would not hesitate to recommend his cars if you are shopping on a budget.

I agree. Anyone that's been on this forum for a bit (and is paying attention) knows that wirewheel has an impeccable reputation. I've yet to see anything negative about them.

Rusty never called anyone a liar. He simply asked for something as major as a salvage title be listed first, and not as fine-print at the bottom.
He's right. It wastes peoples' time.

Everybody knows 99% of the Elise's Hayes sells have rebuilt titles. You see a listing from WireWheel, you know where it's going.

Wasting peoples' time? I hope I'm never THAT busy.

Owned, loved, enjoyed, and now gone:
1969 Europa S2 Blue
1970 Europa S2 White
1974 Europa Twin Cam Blue
1974 Europa Twin Cam Blue
1984 Turbo Esprit Calypso Red
2005 Elise Starlight Black
2005 Elise Saffron Yellow
2005 Elise Ardent Red
2006 Exige Graphite Grey
2007 Exige Canyon Red

Other:
1970 MGB GT
1970 Datsun 510
1984 Honda CRX Si
1984 Pontiac Fiero
2004 Chrysler Crossfire
2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe

This is the attitude of an ******* looking to pull a fast one on someone by getting their car very cheap and being disappointed upon not being able to do so.

Hayes probably spent an hour photographing and making the listing, laying everything out for you very clearly and succinctly. If you're too much of a brat to spend 20 seconds reading an ad and are that concerned about your 20 seconds spent, go buy a new car. Nobody wants to sell a used car to an entitled jerk. There is no "fine print" as all text is rendered in the same font and size as the rest of the description. It is pointed out right next to the price, which could not be a better location. Grow up.

Seller mentions salvage title as the very last thing in the description.
Its like those annoying for sale ads where they finally mention the car's got 190k miles at the VERY END.
I can see why Rusty was annoyed.

By the same token, all of your and Rustys posts should be tagged with "Entitled" or "Whiner" at the start of them so I don't waste precious seconds reading them. I'm sure you can understand why I find it so annoying. Cheers!

No one in the world starts an advertisment with the bad news first. That would be bad marketing.

At that price (and probably above) - absolutely.

It isn't fine print and it isn't major.

Don't want a rebuilt car? Move along. If you read any car ad that priced lower than you expect there is going to be a reason and if you don't already know that you've learnt something today

In summary - toughen up the pair of you!!

I found this ad to be descriptive, the seller disclosing issues fairly, and with the right amount of 'flair'. I have no knowledge of the seller's reputation, but the attacks on him seem out of line. There are plenty of sellers on this forum that are far worse and demonstrated to be less than forthcoming. Good luck wirewheel.
