This is a rare Lotus Elise. The color is called Autumn Gold. I bought the car from a lotus expert in new York.

I bought the Lotus in 2014 with 63,000 miles on it. It now has 73,000 miles on it.
I have made several major upgrades in amenities.
The car is still factory and runs great!!!

I had professionally installed the escort passport ($2500)
just like this one

I had Chuck Risen of C.A.R.S custom build me a sound system installed on this car. ($3000) You can clearly hear great music at any wind speed. The sub box is custom match paint as well as the speakers. Not only does it sound amazing but it looks amazing.

I also had professionally installed a curb parking sensor to protect the from clam ($500 at time)

The Lotus is great fun.
You can buy others for more money with less miles. But they won't have the major upgrades. Trust me the factory sound system is terrible

If you do not want anyone looking at your car then this is not the car for you. I have literally had people stop in the middle of the street to gawk. Every restaurant I go to I Iove to watch everyone purposefully walk by the car to gawk. Most don;t even know what it is. Want to pick up chicks? this will do it. Just want a fun ride? this is it.
This is the most exotic look you can find under $75,000 hands down!!!! for $30000 you can have an $75000 look IMHO

The color appears to be the rarest color Lotus made.
Call me and I can tell you what I know about the car, All scheduled maintenance, Always garaged, Excellent condition, Looks & drives great, Never seen snow, New paint, Title in hand, Upgraded sound system, Very clean interior, Well maintained

The car is in Norman Oklahoma
The new paint story is this:
I was sitting at a stoplight.... the first on to the stoplight- just missed the green... a truck pulled up behind me and sat through the light with me....one of those loooonnnggg lights... the light turned green and I started and the truck "tapped" me.... so little that I thought I had just missed the clutch slightly.... I was unsure... so I got out to look and he had punched a hole in the rear clam, and damaged lights.. the hole was like if I took a hammer and punched through the rear clam... not even big enough for my fist....
So ... we had to get a new rear clam... as My guy said it was not repairable, or I would not want it repaired but replaced... I agreed, because I want my stuff RIGHT... I presssed the insurance to make it perfect and they did... which included new paint front to back... no fading it in.... I told them with a car like this it has to be perfect!!!!!! The lights had to be replaced and whatever goes with replacing a clam.
The "accident" was literally at 1.5 miles per hour... Like i said I didn't even know he tapped me really...
So that is the story... It was more of a pain to deal with than anything!!!!
The good side was .. all of the rock chips that naturally happen over time to the front.. we are gone !!!! :)

Super cool color, GLWS. When this color first came out, didn't like it, but now I appreciate how cool the color palette was that Lotus offered for these cars. Especially compared to the Germans (four shades of gray, one blue, one red, that's about it without custom $$$ fees).

Nothing happened to the front... It is exactly as I bought it.... I don;t know about a "front licens plate" section.... the front is in great shape.
It does not have a "clear bra"

I have a clean title....
Soft top only in great shape
It has every option available (that I know of). All electric, touring etc.... combined with the adds that I have made since acquiring.... (sound sytem) radar detector, etc

The car has definitely had some bodywork done to the front clam since all stock Elises have a license plate plinth on the front. It looks like the work on yours was well done. We are just curious if the modification was done because of aesthetic reasons or a collision.

I first fell in love with the Lotus platform while vacationing in Maui 2 years ago, thanks to a beautiful Autumn Gold available for rent on Turo. I absolutely loved the car and especially the color, and immediately began looking for one when I got home. I'm in Dallas and this would have been convenient!

GLWS!

Aloha! Im the owner of Maui Mini Go! here on Maui and I have the Autumn Gold Elise that was mentioned in a previous post! I can tell you from first hand experience this is one of the absolute coolest colors on the road! Pictures do not do this justice, and it is the only reason I can figure that this was not a more popular color! In my research before buying the car, I found that about 9 car where imported and 3 have been lost...so I think there are only around 6 still on the road...I believe it was the second rarest color for that year. I love strange and vivid colors on cars, and it was what originally attracted me to the car! The rarity was just a bonus! If you have the opportunity to check the car in person, do! You may never see another one...unless you come to Maui and drive mine! GLWTS!
