2007 Exige S - 18k miles $52,000 OBO
EDIT 9.6.2019: SALE PENDING
PRICE DROP $50,000 FIRM - I found my next car and am relying on sale of this car first.
I purchased this car from Lotus of Bellevue last September after they went over it meticulously and replaced anything that needed attention. This is a really nice example that is completely stock except for an Optima red top battery, back up camera, and JVC radio with Bluetooth. There are no scratches on the vehicle and I'm happy to take more pictures for any serious buyer. I'm happy to work with out of state buyers if you organize and pay shipping.
The car starts and runs great. I keep a battery tender on it when not in use (only driven 1-2 times a week, if that) and I have recently done an oil change, spark plugs and tie rod ends. I see no other place I could spend money on the car mechanically. Air conditioner blows cold, I drove the car to the office today and even though it's 110 outside the cabin was comfortable. Power locks and windows work as they should. There are no glitches in the gauge cluster which is a common failure point on these cars. There is slight play in the steering rack that I only notice on the hottest of days, Brighton Motorsports (local Lotus authorized shop) said it is not a sign the rack has failed but it's generally expected on these cars the steering rack will eventually fail.
Brakes are in good condition, about 60%. Tires are OEM A048 with about 4K miles on them, I do not drive hard and Discount Tire told me they have "plenty of life" left in them when I was there last week.
Visually this car is as good an example as you will find. I have had it professionally detailed at European Specialist in Scottsdale and have hand waxed it in between details, I might spend more time caring for the paint than driving. I'm not kidding. The headlights have ZERO clouding or moisture. The interior has a flaw on the dash, one of the previous owners put a wet cup on the dash and it left a ring. I have not been able to remove that but someone with more knowledge of leather care may be able to get it out. Both seats are 10/10 and the steering wheel is 9/10. There is one area that's got some touch up paint near the passenger door, it's about the size of a grain of rice. For a 12 year old car I couldn't ask for much better and that's why I bought this example in particular even though it wasn't my first choice in color. Literally too clean to pass up.
This car has the touring pack (leather) and track pack (lsd and traction control) and I think that's about it. Not like there are many options on these cars to begin with.
Lotus of Bellevue told me there was no sign that this car spent time on a track and I sure haven't taken it on one. When I first started buying sports cars I was scared off by the fact each one had multiple owners but I realized that's just the nature of these kinds of cars, those of us who have some disposable income buy/sell/trade rides all the time. I was once the third owner of a GT4 before it had 2,000 miles on it, the current owner of that car says there was one between me and him so that car has had five owners in 3 years, it's just the way it is. This car has had four owners before me.
REASON I'M SELLING:
I want to try something different. I'm thinking a Viper might be fun, maybe a Nissan Skyline imported from Japan, maybe a Shelby GT350... I don't know. Life is short, I want to try all the cars! Also my girlfriend is not crazy about the car, she misses the Porsche so maybe I'll go back to one of those.
The pictures really speak for themselves. I have more upon request.
