So the big question: Can it be legally driven on the street aside from the race tires? Not that you should, but it's a big plus if you could.

damn seeing the price for this makes we wish that I put a stock motor back in the car and sold it. then bought this for less of a difference than I'm spending on the new motor and build....ugh. Killer car guys, good luck with the sale, thanks for the help at buttonwillow, I'm sad that I guess this means you wont be running the time attack series with it.

..engine photos?

Despite losing some of the great setup, if it were street legal, i'd be interested...just not gonna spend $55k on a track car. There are plenty of options for a track car; I like FC's and that'd run $20k or so, and be part of a well-participated class.

but if I could drive her every day, I'd look into this.

2002 Brian Moore C55 >> 2002 Ibanez AR250 with Gibson Burstbuckers >> 2001 Taylor Grand Auditorium >> 2000 Les Paul Custom 3 pickup >> 1998 Brian Moore C90 >> SRF chassis 543 >> 1976 Rickenbacker 4001 >> 1972 Fender Telecaster >> 1939 Gibson Archtop

That elise is amazing. I'm looking into what it would take to register this in Ore. anyone familiar with their process? just moved here from CA, where things were really challenging in regards to registering modified vehicles. thx.

If your moving to portland well they might be able to get your car to pass. You will have to retune the ecu with a "street" fuel map. Which can be done and easily also. The main issue is does the car still retain the OBDII hookup for the fine people at the emissions department to check for engine codes and other dignostics. Im sure the hydro carbons etc... can be tuned so it's a non issue. But in OR there are many counties that require no emissions another thing to think about

The fab work is tip-top on this car. If I didn't already have a monster Lotus, I would get this car. Honestly, if you want a track car why wouldn't you buy this? This is $120K worth of car for less than 1/2 price!

bc i'd have to part with the lotus i drive every day, not gonna have two of them. so i'd want this one to be street legal, that's all!

again, for a pure track car, i could get a formula car (butt simple to work on) like a F500 or FC for far less.

Also, you can't really finance a track car because nobody will insure it. If it's somehow street legal, you can get it insured and then finance it...

I'm not sure if you interested parties want to finance or not, but it's just another thing.

The good news is that John has stated it can be simply converted to street legalization.
