Well, thanks for the kind words Rick!
Actually, I was kinda shocked when my Elise won, there were so many other cars there that deserved to win as well.
Funny thing about your garage queen comment, as you and other people who know me will attest to;
I do, I drive my Elise and usually drive it hard (when I can safely) but on the other hand, I try to keep her clean and shiny as possible.
But to a degree I've never experienced in my life before. Every crack and crevice that I can access, gets cleaned. A sickness? My wife says so.
I think it's a love thing, I love the way the Elise looks with all the right curves and I think I lucked out with the Persian Blue.
She's a 2011 with just over 41,000 miles on her.
To show you how "sick" I am, I am attaching a photo that I took in July of my front driver's side wheel well. Remember the car has 40,000 hard miles on it.
While I'm sharing pics, it seems that I haven't posted any pics from this year's Cruze, so here you are.
1. The morning line up @ Lake Welch.
2. Atop of Bear Mtn. @ Perkins Memorial.
3. And the group who stayed for lunch @ Barnstormer's.
What I have learned during my Elise ownership is there is only one thing that is better than seeing a Lotus on the road and that seeing a sh!tload on Lotus cars on the road!
That's why I love doing the Bear Mtn. Cruzes and will continue to do so.
So see you next year and the 6th Annual BMC!
ps did you notice how I used the correct plural version?
