2015 Nationals Results

Day 1 is done with a good showing by Lotus. We will see what day two holds.

Day 1 had SSM and XP running the technical course. Day 2 is a bit more point and shoot full throttle rock and roll from the looks of it.

The two classes I am running my car in (first year running the car in autocross) in XP and SSM. I haven't seen the other classes run but there's a showing in about every class a Lotus can run.

SSM
Matthew Glagola is winning with a 58.3 on three clean runs. Real nice driving from Matt. He was on point.

Wilcox Miata is 2nd

Third place is my codriver Steven Ruschak 59.0. He got one clean run but made it a good one.

Marc Osgood is just above Strielnicks at 9th in Matt's car.

Middle of the pack is Alexandra Zust and David Deregt. I am a few spots behind them.

As far as Lotus my time is the worst in SSM but to be fair I only ran my first autocross in August of last year LOL. Either way I'm very happy with Stevens results especially considering its only the 3rd time he's drove the car. And the 5th day we have ran it at all after doing most of the upgrades.

XP
Fred is winning no surprise there. Only one clean run but still a full second between 1st and 2nd. 57.3

RX7s have the next three places. Matt and Stevens time would put them in 2nd and 3rd in XP fwiw.

My drivers for XP were not on point so were not so good there. But hopefully Nick can make it happen today as we could possibly still trophy.

I think with some more seat time, time spent dialing in my car, and maybe some more power we can really give Matt a challenge. Fred is pretty high up there... I don't really want to full blown destroy the interior and everything else that Fred's done to make his car such a beast. Either way with a bit of work and good driving I think we can get somewhere in XP.

I ran in FS blazing a trail in the new Mustang. Was fun and think I'll probably run there next year as well. I might have to consider selling my Lotus.

Nice meeting you Dallas. Was fun watching all of the SSM Lotus.

We gave the Porsches as much hell as we could muster in SS. The GT3 + Salerno combo was impressive on the West course. Even with perfect runs on both days, I figure I would have been about .2 to .3 seconds behind his total time.

It was great meeting everyone! First time to meet Dallas and his crew! Finishing 4th in SSM in the first effort out is no small feat as that class was stacked with good cars and talent. All the Lotuses came up a bit short on power vs the RX7s on the bigger day 2 course. On day 3 and day 4, Jdawson threw down with is SS Elise to grab the 2nd spot. We did some custom work on the Penskes for SS and we think it helped, though obviously Jake drove the wheels off of it.

One of the XP competitors made a Calvin peeing on a Lotus sticker they put on everyone's cars on Day 2. I was so honored I put one on my car! Andy gifted me a coned day 1 so I had a pretty good cushion and focused on driving smart on day 2.

I felt like I drove pretty well this year. In fact maybe better than last?

It was funny listening to everyone talking about the East being the power course. Yes the West was tight but it was almost always followed up by a deep dig. None so big as the one at the finish in which I was giving up 10-15 mph to the competition going through the lights at the finish.

Ryno, you're right, but east had long hammer down sections. Congrats on winning the pro finale and the season!

Congrats. I worked when you ran Ryan and those digs did hurt. Joe was incredibly smooth putting down all that torque, he was the class of the corvettes as he often is and this was no exception. Even my FS mustang hit 55+mph from those digs and 73mph at the finish lights.

What a fun event! It was great meeting Dallas. He's a cool guy and built a sweet machine. It's good to see somebody thinking outside the box.

I'm a little bummed I missed the Championship by .069 but hey, that's auto-x. I think the Achilles heel on my car is power and power alone. I've got to figure out something for next year. Either that or get better at driving.

This reflects my exact takeaway. West ended up being much more power friendly than I had anticipated. I drove pretty well, leaving maybe .3 or .4 seconds out on course each day given my setup. The GT3s were on their limiter at 80 mph (maybe 82 mph?) through the lights on the West course. I was at 70 mph in 3rd gear. The slow dig and long finish zone killed any Lotus advantage in the tight stuff.

nobody ran SSR?

The only thing you're going to do with more horsepower is go faster.

Helluva effort, Matt. I was pulling for you. Love love love the flares on your car, sir. How much power do you think you are putting out now, and how much further do you think you can/will go?

Congrats to Fred also... is that #7 for you in XP? A jacket for every day of the week, that is amazing. Does it ever get boring winning all those championships? You are a great sport to put the Calvin sticker on, I can't think of a better response!

Very cool to see Lotus 1 2 3 in the DM class, also.

I hope I just make it out to participate one of these years.
