front: Dunlop Direzzia Start Spec II 205/50R16
rear: Dunlop Direzzia Start Spec II 225/45R17

Its a sticky and large a front as you can get on these wheels.
So stock elise wheels?

205 might be a little big for the stock touring wheels, great for the LSS though.

Yes. Its my commuter car, not just fun car. So I left the stock wheels on. Its not perfect, but its great for the street. They're not too big for standard wheels, they work well, and its in spec for the tires.

I found a few old threads during my search referencing 949Racing's 6UL 15x8 for the front, as well as the Enkei PF01 for the front, both of which are really nice lightweight wheels, but neither have a great rear option. Or you could pull a Turbophil move and run 15s all around.
Supposedly 949 was working on a rear fitment for the Elige, but it's been radio silence from them for a while so this may not be coming anytime soon.

949 has the 17x8s and 17x9s 4x100s on their site right now, but only available through there retailers. First shipment is last week in October.

I'm currently running a square 15x8 set up, 225F and rear, but I should have gone 245.

Oh hell ya, I didn't know that. 15x8 and 17x9 then? They're super light (11.6F, 15.9R) - way lighter than the TD1.2s.

I have an Exige. Yeah, I was hoping to pick of Glagola's fenders or maybe the ones on Facebook. I just haven't decided if I can bring myself to cut the clam yet.

Hell I would cut mine in a heartbeat so long as I had the wheels and tires ready to stuff under there. The one on facebook looks like a liberty walk kit which I like. Do the 15x8 with the +36 offset sit flush on the front?

Posting for future reference. My Auto-x set up for next years season as of now-

949 Racing wheels

15x8 205/50/r15 Front (maybe 205/45)

17x9 245/40/r17

See how that does me, the LSS are nice but I think I will retire those for street use and race on the 949's.

I was on all seasons when i got the car.

I just put on RE-71R in 205/45/16 and 245/40-17 on LSS wheels Track pack suspension properly setup.

It is great! What a tremendous difference, the car was a whole different animal. I really like them and it made this car a whole level better car.

Tires do a lot for performance, when I bought my car I had all seasons in the rear and R888's in the front. Since then I have swapped out to RS3's in the front and A048's in the rear. Dont ask why I mixed up tire brands but its done me well at Auto-x. Top novice almost every week. Gonna run classes next season.

With enough camber, you can probably fit a 225 up front which would make a substantial difference for AX.

Ill have to see how much room there is once I have the wheels in hand. Probably drop the sidewall to a 45 if i go 225.

I'm running NT01s, 225/45/15 front, 255/40/17 rear. 15x8 ET15 front wheels, 17x8 ET30 rear wheels. No rubbing at all on my 07 Exige S.

The 949s are one option but another great option are the Avanti Storm in 15x8 or 9 and 17x8 or 9.

Fronts:
Advanti Racing Storm S1 15x8 Grey for Miata, 15x8

Interesting; similar weight and construction to the 949s, and a couple bucks cheaper even. linky no worky for the rears though.

On Goodwin's site go to the 2016 Miata (ND) and look at wheels, you'll see the pre-order options. Due out pretty soon. The Avanti's are sold on TireRack as well for the 15s, not the 17s yet but I assume they eventually will be.

Got it thanks.

They're ET45; supposedly the 949s will be too. Are these going to need big spacers?
