The ride difference in non-LSS and LSS is the Bilstein dampers!!! NOT THE SPRINGS!

Correct! When you have tiny shafts and thus small fluid displacements on a cost-reduced shock, control is not very precise. The LSS is harsh to make the car feel responsive. The base shocks are not as harsh but the lack of control makes them more harsh than they need to be.
