I'm sure adjustable shocks would help, if properly setup. I hope to add those this winter. However, Junior trophied with stock Bilsteins last week. And he apparently had a "run for the ages" on day 2, beating the entire field by a nice margin. Of course the Pumpkin had a LSD, which definitely played a role, but if your funds are limited, shocks could be put lower on your list. I certainly place a LSD well above my eventual shock project.

Mark is a good friend. He is also a very good friend of the Maloneys who bought and Elise and sold it because Nancy was too short for it. I ended up buying their extra sport rims.

Setup info is not really changed. Get as much negative camber in the front by removing the shims (except ABS connector attachment shim). You want to reduce the inside rear wheel spin and the BWR bar does that, specially if you don't have an LSD.

Randy (an others running the LSD),
Do you still use the BWR bar as stiff with the LSD? Is it really needed once you have it in?
I'm installing the LSD over the winter, but like the balanced grippy feeling of the "soft" front end, and dislike the "washing away" nose first in sweepers consequence of the compromised setup (to prevent wheelspin).

That is the question. We have softened the front bar setting with the LSD, but we have yet to do more testing to see if the LSD car would be better with the stock bar.

I see there haven't been any posts here in awhile, but I'm also getting into Solo (SS), having purchased as used 05. That car came with an Arqray twin tip exhaust.

Is that a problem with staying in SS? I met and spoke with Evl, a very capable and active Solo driver here locally. He didn't think it would be a problem, at least on the local level.

Although old, the advice here seems great.

The Arquay comes out where the back panel used to be, correct? That technically takes you out of stock class, but I even saw one run that way at a National tour event and no one protested (but they would have if he trophied). Locally I can't imagine it being an issue in the DC or Philly regions, there aren't any pinheads that I know of locally.

Jerry, no mine comes out of the lower aluminum panel with the back fascia intact. Evl (Chris), thought it looked a bit trimmed, but it looks like the Stage 2 exhaust.

Chris said the same thing you did about the unlikelihood of a protest. In addition, since it appears that there are many very talented SS class drivers in the SCCA DC area, the probability of a trophy is about as likely has me heading to the Moon. I just want to have a little fun.

Then that can't be the Arqray twin tip, can it?

It looks like I mispoke............it is this one from Sector 111. They call it the dual muffler, not the twin tip, which is a different model

What Randy said. I do not know what yours looks like. But as you said, it won't matter (for now).

You're all clear! And might I add, that's a mighty fine sounding exhaust if I do say so myself.

Yep, it is a pretty amazing sound. I am used to loud since my Cobra replica in my avatar runs a 427 side-oiler with side pipes. What did you say?

Thanks Andy, Jerry, and Randy.

What's the story on the exige? I realize almost all the advice is applicable, but what about the front bar and track pack bilstein settings? Also, its my understanding that the exige is in SM2 only?

The Exige is classed in ASP. Your mods are perfectly legal in ASP as well, I believe. I know the front bar is even legal in stock, but the car isn't---for now.

Is anyone making a proposal to have the Exige classed in SS? If the new Z06 is there.....

As it was explained to me on the phone when I called the SCCA about classing, the Exige is too limited in production numbers to meet Stock class requirements. I know it's just a redesign on aero and looks but they say that if it turned out to be the car to have, then not anyone could go to the dealer and get one.

I know most of you are at Nationals now but I want a clarification of the rules for Stock. Specifically 13.8. second paragraph.
I just purchased a Track Pack car and have the ability to lower the vehicle with the stock adjustments on the shocks.
A fellow competitior who runs a Corvette thought that it was legal...he says the Corvette guys lower thier cars....and I'm assuming the Porssche GT3 comes with adujstable ride height?
Any help or clarification would be appreciated.
