SoloPro Driving School?

Does anyone have any experience with this group? They have a weekend school coming up in Ft Myers that I am considering. It's a ten hour drive for me so I am hoping for some feedback before committing.

I've no direct experience with SoloPro, but they have some very good instructors - Pat Washburn here, for starters. I suspect the school is very good.

Also consider - I've got much more experience with them (bias: I instruct for them). The Evo school has been around a while, their curriculum is very well thought out.

That said, SoloPro kinda HAS to be good - their instructor list is very impressive, lots of very talented drivers, and those that I know personally are ALSO going to be good instructors, from a personality standpoint - not everyone can articulate *how* to go fast, even if they clearly know how to do it. I've heard a lot of good things about SoloPro. I don't think you could go wrong with either one.

Ditto what Iain said. It's a pretty known formula how to make faster autox drivers and getting that immediate feedback and examples from a known school or instructor are well with it and SoloPro is one of those schools with the right instructors.

Thanks Ian. I like both schools, and you will get a lot out of either. I like the SoloPro philosophy, and there is a well thought our course/curriculum. I think you cannot go wrong with either, but if this is the one coming to your area I urge you to go. It will be worth it!!!

I actually paid real money to go to a SoloPro school wherein two of the four instructors were guys I already knew and had taken for free at local events. Drove 140 miles for the privilege.

Am I crazy or foolish? Maybe, but this ain't why. The experience was easily as good as anything I have gotten from McKamey/Evolution in the past. If you get the chance, go for it. Expect them to stretch your brain.
