The Bogarts might be a tad heavier but their width makes up for it 100 times over. Seriously. You can run 8.5" fronts and 9" rears with very little rubbing. I said it before but I'll say it again, I got 7th at Nats in 2013 on those wheels and 225/245 tires and was only .6 off the leader on the course that didn't dictate tons of power.

Wheels and tires and sorting the chassis is the biggest bang for your buck. Power is nice but not as important. Additionally, in 2013, the car was at about 270whp.

I'll take a heavy, wide wheel over a light narrow wheel all day, every day, rain or shine. Bogarts are not "heavy," IME - certainly not the lightest 3pc wheel, but they're not HEAVY.

Don't lose one millisecond of sleep over gaining X pounds for TWO INCHES of wheel width (fronts). That's _huge_.

I went from a fairly nice 6" wheel way back when to a heavy as **** oem VW wheel that'd been widened to 8". The difference was astounding; I probably picked up 6# per corner, but went a whole lot faster. Same tires (BFG R1, 230s). Same tires as in dismounted from the BBS and remounted on the anchors.

Weight is clearly important, but don't trade width for weight, IMHO.

Unfortunately no steering arm upgrades. That's on the list for this off-season when I tear down the suspension.
