Sorry Ken, I didn't see your message until now. Yeah, the roads suck and you have to try and dodge the pot holes with the Elise as with any other car. Generally, driveways aren't an issue unless there is a deep gutter preceding it or one that meets the road at a steep angle. There's a front clam protector (search Lotus Talk) that provides some extra protection.
The car can remain the unblemished only if you don't drive it. There are the inevitable stone chips, but I'm willing to accept that in return for the driving pleasure. Does your car have the clear protection film; it helps. Looking forward to meeting you and your car some time this driving season!
