Back in April I contacted Jim at Intercity Lines about transporting a vehicle from Oregon to CT. He was easy to work with, gave a very competitive rate, and was able to project a pickup date which turned out to be spot on. The move was handled professionally at both the pickup and drop-off points, and the driver kept me well apprised of his schedule. I couldn't have been any happier with the haul, and wouldn't hesitate to use Intercity Lines again.
Just a very satisfied customer.

|sturgeongeneral||Thank you all for the shipping info and the nice comments on the new car! I can't wait to get her home and get a picture of my fiberglass car collection. 1974 Corvette Stingray C3 T-Tops, early 60's VW Dune Buggy I restored, and the perfect addition: the '06 Elise! I love the fiberglass convertibles and can't think of a more perfect car to add than the Elise. I have been in love with them since I drove one a few months ago. I just wish I still had my Jenson Healy with the factory Lotus engine to add to the lineup.....|

Fortunately it was covered by my employer each time but they do tons of exotics and collectibles. The third time i used them the truck had just dropped off Jerry Seinfelds new Carreras GT. The first time I used them they had a custom hot rod in the truck below my car. They always cover the bottom car in case there are drips or leaks from the top car too.|

|DanS||The selling dealer, Autosport Designs, recommended Horseless Carriage. They were perfect in every way. (There were three Ferrari 458s in the truck along with my Exige. They're fully enclosed and won't damage the splitter (or anything else).|

|mOlson||Choose one of the big ones (Intercity, Reliable) or fly out and drive it home. I would not transport a riding lawn mower with one of these open transport companies.|

I used Passport Transport and they were very friendly and professional. They also give you a code and a link to a GPS site that will let you track the truck that your car is on 24/7 so you know exactly where it is at all times.
My car arrived quicker than what I initially thought. The truck it was riding one had a stable of cars that all cost at least $250k, so my car was in good company.

I've used both DAS and Reliable for cars... forgot which one it was but I would never use them again because their communication was horrible and the service was worse when you could find someone on the line.
I think DAS was the good one... but in any event... the bad one got my car in 2 days ahead of schedule... to their credit... so I was tracking it and found my car was already here, I called them up and said hey, why didn't you guys tell me it was here so I can go get it... and the lady said their policy was to keep it until the scheduled date since that's when they have the release set in the system. I was like... you're kidding, right? You can't give me my car that is already here? Anyway... we fought and fought and I finally got my car out of their prison after 1 day. Stupidest thing I have ever heard.
I have also used JC Motors in Costa Mesa, CA, and Forward Air quite often. Not sure if they do cars but for motorcycles, they did a great job. JC was better because of the additional services, while FA was fast but required you to do all the work of securing it yourself. They basically give you a crate and you are responsible for loading it up and securing the load yourself, but the good thing is FA has a set schedule of routes like a city bus and you can just basically set the schedule by it.

|sturgeongeneral||Yes it is the light blue with white leather interior. Touring pack, sports pack, with hard and soft tops. I am in love.......|

Yes, go enclosed. It is easier for them to get low sports cars on those trailers as well.
You should be able to get an enclosed transport for 1000 miles for around $1,200 - $1,300 unless the pickup and dropoff are not near a major city.
Reliable Transport (orange trucks) has always worked well for me. They would be my first choice. I recently used Exotic Car Transport (yellow trucks). The actual transport part went very well, but they had told me they would pick up the car 10 days earlier than they did, so that was frustrating.

Congrats on the new purchase! Did you end up buying the light blue one that was listed for sale here?
I would spend a bit more and get a closed carrier. Our cars aren't really weatherproof, and the paint is damaged easily.
