Intercity Lines Done,

Sorry to hear your experience was not what you were expecting, I do remember the move and responding back and forth on several PM's with you. We were very busy with the Barrett Jackson auction in West Palm Beach again sorry for your experience, 99% of our customers are very happy with our services. If you would like to discuss any further please feel free to contact us, we would also offer a discount on another shipment, with a chance to make up for the prior experience you had.

Thanks,
Jim

one11 I would NOT reccommend Intercity Lines. I just used them recently to ship my elise nearly coast to coast. They were very slow and seemed unable to work with any requests for shipment pickup. They were not willing flex their schedule at all to work with my seller, after he waited nearly 3 weeks for pickup to be scheduled and numerous emails of "we will schedule after said event on X date". Amazingly I call to complain to a manager and miraculously there is a truck that can pick it up that night, when earlier in the day the closest truck was 2 more days out. I expressed my displeasure with the experience as a whole and they said "sorry, we communicated with you the entire time".
If you can find a comparable price elsewhere, I would go elsewhere.

RacyTracy I had a dealer ship a car to me using 4 D's....I would not recommend them.....not on time, lack of communication.

CIA_ATX GTI,

I used Intercity Lines just a couple weeks ago to have my Exige delivered from San Francisco to Texas. They did a great job, there were no worries from the moment it was scheduled for pick up, in transit, and delivered. The driver did a great job with communicating when the car was loaded, and returned all our phone calls promptly when contacted. It's tough to just let anyone handle the lotus but it was an all around comforting feeling dealing with the guys/gals at Intercity.

Not to go on, but I enjoy giving credit where credit is due when excellent service is delivered.

GTI-Guy Thanks for the input, wouldn't have thought of to get numbers of dispatcher and driver. Someone said that the smaller 3 car trailer haulers were a good mid ground price/peace of mind wise versus the double deckers that can have another car's fluid dripping on you.

JLSELISE +1 -- and BTW, I have had great service from Fed Ex at competitive prices for enclosed, door-to-door service.

GR82DRV Whoever you use, insist on good communications. Get the dispatcher's number and keep in touch. Insist on the cell phone number of the driver so that you can coordinate all details of the pick up and delivery and get updates. This is a Murphy's Law set-up, but if you communicate well you can minimize potential problems.

GTI-Guy Wow, with all these endorsements and forum sponsor response, how can I resist!

Intercity, thanks for reaching out.

Let's assume two scenarios, both with a final destination of St Louis, MO. The first would be coming from Miami, the second coming from Los Angeles. Please pm me the quotes, or holler and I'll send you my contact info if that's preferred.

mavila I've used Intercity Lines 3 times now and would definitely recommend them. They are not cheap, but they take great care of the cars and transport a lot of exotics and collectibles. In fact, the last time I used them the guy had just dropped off one of the first Carrera GTs to Jerry Seinfeld. Fortunately for me, each time I used them it was a relocation and my company covered the cost.

Intercity Lines GTI-Guy,

Intercity Lines will be glad to give you a price for your move. As a forum sponsor we offer discounted shipping rates for LotusTalk members. We just need to know that city and state where you want the car picked up from and we will gladly shoot you over a price. Please also note, that we only move cars, it is our only business. We only offer enclosed, insured, lift gate loading and door to door service. We also use only nylon wheels saddles over the tires only so the car rides on its own suspension, no chains, hooks or tensioners on the frame or body and no straps through the rims. All our transporters are equipped with drip barriers and we cover each car with a cloth car cover and a plastic cover for added protection inside the transporter. Please let us know if we can help you with your move.

Thanks,
Jim

Intercity seems to be the "go to people" but are a quite pricey. Jay Lemo's choice too, looking at their website.
