Korntera Club Lotus NW meets every other tuesday, go to Club Lotus Northwest | Serving Southwest Washington and Oregon to join the mailing list. However i think I am one of the only members of LT that attends meetings, but recently even I have not been a regular at meetings with the weather getting cold and work getting busy(I have an HVAC company) So maybe after the first of the year I will make it again.

The car is wet because I just drove it home in the rain from the body shop (Europa motors LTD) but you can see that the fiberglass work is top notch. You can also see in other circumstances that the paint and the paint protection film are flawless. Very satisfied! I fully recommend Nick and Europa motors LTD for any body repair needed in the Portland Oregon region.

Now, one of these days I will make it to a Lotus Northwest group gathering and introduce myself and you can see up close the quality of work they did! Look forward to meeting you guys…

MCdougieFresh Just to close the thread, Lotus of Portland directed me to Nick at Europa Motors, Ltd.
He does the bodywork for their shop.

Mr.C Regarding the clear bra I can highly recommend Chuck West.
He is a Porsche guy and used to be very active in the ORPCA.
I had him do my front clam a few years back and the results were really good.
I'm not sure if he is still around, but you can google "orpca chuck west clear bra" and you will get a few hits with a phone number.

Portland Oregon bodyshop recommendation needed

Yep, so that happened…
It's not even an exciting story, it was dark and I was turning into my driveway. A decorative stone at the edge of the driveway that I had never noticed before decided to introduce itself by hitting my rocker panel on the passenger side just in front of the rear tire as I was apparently turning in at too sharp of an angle.

(Insert "wall bang" icon here)

Since this is the rocker panel only and at the bottom, I don't think the body shop will need to do any extensive blending of the paint involving other panels and think it may be within my budget to fix it myself (under $500?) as opposed to using my insurance which will drive up my rate. I am interested in going directly to a shop to discuss the damage, cost, and repair of the car.

Anybody have any recommendations in the Portland Metro area?

Well, at least this gets me to finally refresh the pitted starshield on my rocker panels! (If you know where I need to go to have that done in the Portland area, that would be great to know as well!)
