LiveToDrive If you dig through this section I'm sure you'll find some of the threads on the Toyota Compressor. Everyone who did it says the AC is perfectly cold with a normal charge. It's what I'll probably try next myself. Getting to that compressor is a bitch though.

wek120 So that being the case could you ramp up the pressure a bit more then to compensate?

LiveToDrive Yes the Celica compressor will work, it's been done several times. The only difference is it has a larger pulley, but from what I've read it works just as well. If anything this is a good thing as it spins the compressor slightly slower which is easier on the pump and the engine.

Celica AC swap?

Ok so this is probably a longshot, and sorry in advance for making a kind of noob proposal, but since the celica 2zz engine is virtually identical, would using an ac pump from a celica (or maybe even the whole system) work by any chance?
