I didn't have a burning smell, but I lost fan speed 1 and 2 for about a month. Then finally lost fan speed 3 a little bit later. The a/c blower stop functioning when the resistor burns.

Doge I don't know that I have heard of anyone replacing the blower as well. It's usually not needed.

I don't have a burning smell symptom but there is no fan speed at all and I can still hear the compressor kick on. Is it recommended that I replace all 3 of the following?

1. Heater fan resistor replacement package (Elise S2) [A120P0148S] - €156.10 : Elise Shop, Performance parts for your Lotus Elise

2. BLOWER MOTOR (LESS RESISTOR) [B117P0163F] - €319.24 : Elise Shop, Performance parts for your Lotus Elise

3. My Lotus Garage

It's not terrible to do, only thing I really found difficult was getting the a/c box out, and back in. It's a really tight fit!

I'd double check who ever looked at your car. Most of the time it's just the resistor pack, not the blower as well.
Doge is correct. Usually just the resistor pack.

surferpkt Are you certain that your resistor pack didn't just burn out due to condensation buildup given how humid its been here lately? There was a service bulletin that went out a few years ago to add & drill/enlarge drain holes in the pan to alleviate this. It also had them relocate the resistor pack. If you didn't have that done, and its outstanding the dealership may cover part of your woe's under the service bulletin?

The factory seal on the blower box is horrible and allows leaves and all kinds of crap in which can also block up your drains. Since they'll be going in there, you may want to put a better seal around the blower box to prevent this from occurring again. IMHO

05' Elise -- A/C Failure

My A/C stopped blowing air completely.

I've had a trusted-family mechanic that I've known for years take a look at my Lotus Elise 05' and he told me I need a new blow motor, resistor pack and a heater shut off valve. I told him I'd ask you guys to point me in the direction of where I can make these purchases and what I should expect to pay so I can buy the parts and he can get to work over the weekend. (Its almost 98 degrees every day here in south Florida ).
