I don't believe that is the factory new style resistor, that looks like the DIY resistor from this thread just mounted inside the box:
Which I did the same on my previous Elise. Worked out just fine!

|kylesurf91||I located the resistor pack! For anyone who owns a lotus with the new style/location of the resistor pack and hasn't found it, it is located within the actual HVAC box, just on the inside of it where the blower meets the box--it is no longer located on the bottom of the blower. See pictures for more detail.|

There is still a resistor pack in there somewhere...my 07 Exige had the bad one....
There are still a bunch of things to improve the heater/ac function.

|kylesurf91||Thanks for your response! I guess I'm slightly relieved at the fact that I didn't find a heavily corroded resistor pack sitting at the bottom of the floorpan. I just wish I knew that ahead of time before I risked life and limb trying to get the whole HVAC assembly out haha|

|t955152||I think you are fine. I had my 2007 Elise clam pulled for radiator upgrade a few weeks ago as well. The mechanic told me I have the newly designed/ relocated resistor pack. So there's no need to worry about it. I hope it's the same in your case. Only the pre-2007 ones have resistor pack mounted at the area where water accumulates.|

Replacing radiator & resistor pack 2007 Exige S
a few weeks ago I started pulling the front clam because my radiator burst out the side (thanks again, Lotus, for the plastic radiator). Since I already had the clam pulled, I decided to browse the threads for other stuff I should do while it's off. I came across the whole resistor pack replacement idea and ordered the OEM one from elise-parts. I just now successfully pulled the HVAC assembly and the blower, and now my jaw is dropped because I have not found the resistor pack that I was expecting to be mounted on the bottom of the blower.
Am I missing something?
Did they wise up by the year 2007 and stop putting them on the underside of the blower?
Please help. Pictures to follow....
