ZeRoSL Does the Tillet b5 need a special bracket?

the elise-spares shows a cheap fiberglass seat, but not sure if i need a bracket for that too.

emailed the company, hoping to hear back

ZeRoSL anyone have seat recommendations? I haven't found any new seats for less than $860 each.

I was wondering if there are any generic racing seats that would bolt onto the elise rails and fit side by side with little to no modifications.

I THINK tillet had some seats that are for the most part bolt on? But I don't know much else: which models, which adapters, etc

LotusCC Just remember, you shouldn't be using a 5 or 6 point harness if you're not going to be using a HANS device or something similar. That's just being penny wise pound foolish. Just my 2😉👊🏻

cyow5 For the harness bars, you can narrow the choices down pretty quick by how much you like the storage shelve. Many designs block it, so I avoided those.

For the harnesses, I went to CarID. They are cheap but SFI certified; that's enough for me.

There are also studies that show a four point is plenty safe, I went five point just in case.

lobuzz311 I think he was looking for something a little more personalized... Linking to a vendor's entire catalog isn't terribly useful.

Affordable Race seat and harness and harness bar options

Hey everyone, after a massively successful two day event at the Glen, I would like to look into getting myself cozy and snug in my car.

I was looking at racing seats and harnesses, as well as harness bars, but I am trying to avoid the "Lotus tax" as much as possible.

anyone have recommendations for the most affordable prices?
