It is taking a while to sell because I keep putting a lot into it, so I'm firm on my price as it has come down to match the market over time. Also no one knows how to value these cars. lol The recent clutch and flywheel was a huge upgrade and major expense. Besides gas money this car is as far from needing anything as you can get, so there is nowhere to go on the price. That is causing a lot of people to walk. But I'm not into haggling.

Current price is $59,500.
honestly, without being super in tune with the V8V market, yours seems like an incredibly fair price from the periodic searches I've done (imo, its tough finding a V8V/manual/non-vert)... wish I could help you on the Exige trade (unfortunately I'm still about 2 years away from serious interest in an v8), but happy to see you're looking to get back into the lotus market

Indeed. Very dual personality. Can be a very quiet, smooth car. Sneaking around. But get on it and omg....total beast. Very well designed system. I'm glad I stuck with VelocityAP parts throughout.

If the next owner is interested they can take that risk (I wouldn't trust any of my local dyno shops with this car). But beyond being curious there isn't much point. I wouldn't be interested in buying custom tuning hardware or bothering to tune the fuel and spark maps beyond what VAP's reflash provides. It is a great, stable tune and more than enough punch for me.

Smoky Time for a bump! Getting a few tire kickers and during those conversations I'm realizing folks are a bit surprised by the Vantage. Here's some points to consider when thinking about buying these cars:

-Vantages are NOT huge. These are not big luxury cars. They ARE luxurious on the inside, with incredible material quality and surprisingly well built even if they are built by hand. But they are not "roomy". More room than an Exige or a Noble? Yes. It's about on par with a 911 on the inside in terms of elbow room. Not a lot, but not too much. It is cozy and once you're settled, a very nice place to be. The seats DO hug you. It is NOT like being in a Cadillac which, I didn't realize, but many people seem to make that assumption. This is a SPORTS CAR, through and through.

-Vantages don't ride like a boat on a cloud. No, these cars are more aggressive than that! The springs I've added "dial it in" but don't really make it any stiffer than it was OEM. You feel the road in an Aston! The steering is dampened quite a bit, but when it comes to the feel in the seat of your pants it is ALL there. Don't forget, the driver's seat is not much more forward of the rear axle than what you see in a Viper. It's a great position, with lots of visibility, and comfortable, but you do feel quite a bit of the ride. It's not harsh, or jarring. But if you walk up expecting a Mercedes or a Cadillac cloud-like ride quality you will be surprised to find a chassis that sometimes feels like it would be quite at home on a track. I've never tracked mine, but some Aston owners do, and seem to enjoy it.

I've had a couple folks check out the car locally and fall in love with it but discover that the Vantage is a much sportier car than they assumed, having not seen or sat in one before. I was surprised too when I first sat in it, but pleasantly in my case. It is a VERY sporty car, not as luxury-focused in size and ride as many might assume. The seats fit snugly, and the interior is focused and tight. Yes there is elbow room between you and your passenger. It doesn't feel cramped between people, like a Lotus or a Noble, but for larger folks the tight fitted design of the seats and ergonomics is apparently unexpected. The ride, even in OEM form, is confident and firm, not Viper firm but more than one might expect when looking at an Aston.
